Do cosmetics and haircare companies really think women are this stupid?

Hyperprotozoid Gangliotics (I just made that term up but it's the sort of made-up thing they tell us they've got in their skincare or haircare product on the adverts). The British Institute of Cuticle Excellence. Yeah! There's a big office block somewhere where people get paid a wage for studying cuticles and no other firm but the one in the advert has got an award from this august institution. Finally, on the ingredients label - 'Aqua', IT'S BLOODY WATER!Do cosmetics and haircare companies really think women are this stupid?
Its all a load of old Bosewellox with a few pentapeptides chucked inDo cosmetics and haircare companies really think women are this stupid?
,.No. They are just trying to blind us with science. If it sounds impressive then perhaps we will buy it .
But the sad thing is that many women are..... come on women must be buying all this advanced wrinkle erasing, look 20 years younger rubbish as these companies are raking it in!
Yes, I agree with you. And what exactly is the ';urea'; listed in the ingredients on my handcream?
Yes, but women fall for it. Over and over and over again! My mum buys every bloody anti-wrinkle cream on the market, and they don't make an ounce of difference! My mum is naturally beautiful and has aged very well, but she is convinced that if she stops forking out for expensive anti-wrinkle formulas she's suddenly going to age 20 years! Eh? Companies do it, women fall for it, drives me insane :) xx
It's always amazed me what women, and men, will buy to achieve beauty. There a commercials that promise flawless skin, for an outrage price. The active ingredient are the same as the drugstore brand that I buy for one quarter of the price.

Go Figure!
Brilliant question. I always wonder what Pro-biotics are. Opposite things to Anti-biotics? The manufacturers are just trying to blind us with science but it ain't working. As for the soap with 1/4 cream (you know the one), it dries the skin and is rubbish.
I so agree. They only do it to make it seem like their product is better than the others, in that it has all these ';special'; ingredients in it. What an absolute load of tosh
the aqua thing really gets me too! why cant they say water!!!!!!!!!!
Some women are, I'm serious. That's why these people make trillions of dollars.
Unfornately, there are a lot of people that fall for that crap.
i can understand how it becomes so believable for people.. they are desperate for a quick-fix solutions and these companies play on that.. Whenever I hear of a new 'chemical that is (supposedly) absolutely wonderful for wrinkles or eyes all I can think is it is yet another chemical needlessly tested on animals so that a few more people buy a few more products off of the shelves... surely if this stuff really worked millions of people would be avoiding botox and cosmetic surgery instead of paying thousands to irreversibly alter their bodies.

The one that really makes me wonder is the cream (forget the name) that calls itself a 'filler' all I can think of is it is meant to work like polyfiller and plaster over the wrinkles? not sure how else it could work and can imagine nothing worse? I mean... does it set like a paster.. will it crack if you laugh? I would love someone to let me know whether or not it is really effective.

Honestly.. nothing beats a good diet and exercise regime... start young and make it a lifestyle...oh and keep out of the sun... that's the best way.. plus if you spend your life smiling the only wrinkles you get will be 'happy' ones that brighten your face.. it is a life of constant frowning that makes people look so down.

So be Healthy and Happy :)
The best type of cosmetics is the natural ranges. Try puritycosmetics.co.uk. It is only made from natural ingredients.
Think of it this way.....If one product said ';water'; and an identical product said ';aqua';, which would you buy? You're probably going to get the ';posh stuff'; and are hardly going to buy the one with water in it because that comes out of your tap at home therefore you don't need it!
